I don’t know about you, but I have been searching, researching and purchasing way too many trash cans for our van. Living in such a small space, it’s important that everything has a place that is out of the way, yet easily accessible. A “trash can” is one of those items.

It needs to be accessible when you have things you need to throw away. It would be nice to hide it, but putting it in a drawer uses up vital space. Plus you don’t want to have to open a cabinet or drawer when your hands are messy from preparing a meal.

The Problem

I have tried a few trash cans over the past few months. Here are the problems with most small RV or camping trash cans.

• • They are made of thin nylon material that doesn’t last.

• • They are flimsy and don’t stand up or stay open.

• • Some are stiff and don’t compact to store away.

• • Most lack a way to secure the trash bag around the top.

• • Hanging straps are weak, in the wrong location or don’t exist.

• • They just don’t last.

The Solution

Ok, so what’s the answer to a great high quality trash receptacle that avoids all those problems I just stated? The Radius Outfitters Seatback Trash Tube! This thing is amazing. Yes, I called a trash receptacle Amazing. It checked all the boxes for what we needed to store our trash in our 18′ Dodge Promaster. Let’s talk about the features.

• • The top is made from a firm and wide plastic ring that won’t collapse as you are trying to empty your coffee grounds into it.

• • It has an internal plastic piece that secures and holds the top of the trash bag firmly in place.

• • The bag is long and narrow and made out of 1000D Cordura with a PVC liner.

• • It has multiple attachments on the back for securing the bag in any location imaginable. Tether straps with hooks, as well as Molle straps top and bottom for attaching onto a Molle panel

Our Conclusion

This trash tube will not let you down. I know I am getting pretty excited about a trash container, but then I was equally excited about our porta potty. After so many months of seeing and using subpar products, I am excited to have found the Radius Outfitters Trash Tube.
