Prevent an accidental house power shut off
Welcome to our simplest review yet. It’s small, made of plastic and just might save you one day on the road. This review is specific to the Landed Gear Winnebago Solis switch cover, but they have other switch covers for Travato and Revel switches.
Your house batteries power your entire rig when you are camping. Your refrigerator and all of your 12 volt outlets only get power when your house batteries are on. The last thing you want to do is accidentally hit the power switch as you exit your rig. This can cause a few problems.

- (winter campers) If you are at freezing temperatures and you left your heater on to avoid your water tanks and pipes from freezing, you may return to frozen and damaged water lines.
- If you have food in your refrigerator, it may no longer be good or items in the freezer may have fully defrosted.
- If you are charging things that are plugged into your 12 volt outlets, they will no longer be getting a charge.
It’s not the end of the world, but any of these scenarios can definitely put a damper on your adventure plans. Especially if a water line ruptures and leaves you without running water. Well there is a simple product to prevent this from happening.
The simple plastic cover is easy to attach with the two included screws. I suppose you could also mount it with adhesive if you didn’t want to put a couple of holes in your van.
Our Conclusion
This simple plastic switch cover does exactly what it is supposed to. With this cover on we have no worry that we would accidentally turn off the power. It blends in great and could easily be mistaken as original equipment from the factory.
