The Best Option For Covering Your Van’s Sink
Camco RV and Marine Sink Cover and Cutting Board
The Need For More Counter Space
Never have enough counter space in your camper van. Tired of storing and pulling out the cutting board to chop up vegetables. Well I may just have the answer to your problems.
A few months ago, while buying a spare tire from a fellow van owner, I noticed he had a cutting board over his sink. He told me he bought it on Amazon, so of course I looked it up as soon as I got back in my van. It looked like a great option for additional counter space and a cutting board that wouldn’t take up more storage space.
Pros
- Increases usable counter space.
- Covers up whatever you might leave in the sink.
- Doubles as a cutting board that doesn’t require storage.
Cons
- We have only encountered one issue with the cutting board over the past 3 months since we started using it. If the sink or sponges are wet when we put the board over the sink, a couple of times we had some mold grow on the underside of the board overnight. We just washed it off and and set in the sun for a bit. We now just make sure the sink is dry when we place the cutting board over the sink.
Features
-
- Dimensions 13” x 15” x 2” high with adjustable rubber feet at each corner so it stays in place while you drive. It does take some time to get the rubber feet positioned just right the first time.
- The adjustable feet allow it to fit sinks 10”x14”, 11” x 13 3/4” and 12” x 14”
- Available in bamboo, bordeaux and oak.
- Weight 1.25 pounds.
- It also works well as a serving tray.
- 6773 reviews and 4.5 stars as of this review date.

Our Conclusion
It has been a great addition to our van. We use the cutting board daily for cutting up food. If we have things in the sink when we drive it muffles the sounds if they are moving around. It also helps keep any gray tank odors out of the van until we can resolve them. Plus it just gives a nice clean look to the counter.
